Course. A part of planning ahead is deciding on which course you want to take. When choosing a four-year course, ask yourself what course and major you are very interested in. Many students donât choose a major until they finish their first year. If the four-year courses are not a route you want to take, then there are technical schools that offer shorter courses.

If you decide to stay, there are many colleges or technical schools you can take either on actual or online. The internet provides you a wide variety of choices.
Lodging. If you prioritize socializing with others, then living on a campus o dormitory is fit for you. In this regards, you also need to answer several questions:
- Do you want to stay in or off campus?
- What type of housing will be available on or off campus?
- How are you going to do laundry? Meals?
- Is it okay for you to follow a strict curfew?
- Does having a roommate affect your studies? Why or why not?
Finances. This also affects your ability to pursue college. Planning is the key factor here in order to succeed. Without assessing your ability to finance, then you might end up stopping at the middle of a semester.
