Finishing high school is the conclusion of an era of anyoneâs life. Gone are the days of happy-go-lucky studying and mingling with friends. You now have to determine what you are likely to do with the rest of your life and that is a big decision to make. While plenty of teens see high school as an undertaking, something to get through and leave behind, the truth is that high school may be the last frontier to cross before maturity will take center stage. High School life is somewhat boring due to lack of freedom and lots of projects and assignments, but soon enough, you will be able to miss those days.
So letâs have a glance at your choices after high school. A lot of people have life plans even before freshman year while some are still at the planning stage a year after high school. No other way is the proper way due to the fact that every choice means sacrifice and every path results in more than one destination.
Post Secondary Education
This includes university, college or career training in a non-trades field. This is for you if you are prepared to decide on a profession, did realistically well in an academic program in a high school, and are able to study and learn in a traditional setting. If you are considering college or university you’ll need good grades in high school course work, or you must be willing to take extra time to upgrade in a post-secondary college prep program.
College and university are certainly not for every individual. Vocational training is also not for everybody as the learning structure in these programs is designed after the traditional academic model. If high school was a struggle for you academically, you may find this a frustrating choice. Remember that the learning environment in a post secondary school is not very different from high school.
